Java Architect with AI

Location – Bangalore/Mumbai/Pune Note: Immediate Joiner Only. "Key Responsibilities: - Define and enforce prescriptive standards for AI-assisted coding, refactoring, testing, and documentation. - Provide ongoing guidance to engineers to resolve GenAI-related challenges on a day-to-day basis. - Collaborate with internal / external stakeholders to accelerate GenAI adoption leveraging information / knowledge - Use GenAI to accelerate legacy code comprehension, refactoring, modularization, and technical debt reduction. - Conduct workshops, training sessions, and hands-on demos to upskill teams. - Stay up to date with the latest features, capabilities, and limitations of GitHub Copilot and related tools. - Build reusable assets including prompt libraries, playbooks, and best-practice guides. - Ensure GenAI usage aligns with enterprise security, IP, and compliance policies. - Define clear guardrails for safe and auditable AI-assisted development. - Evaluate and recommend Copilot extensions, plugins, and integrations to enhance developer experience. - Mentor developers on how to effectively collaborate with AI tools like GitHub Copilot. Required Experience & Skills: - Hands-on software engineering experience in Java. - Strong expertise in Java (8+), Spring/Spring Boot, Webservices, legacy Java systems like (Struts/JSP), RDBMS and modern frontend frameworks (Angular/React). - Performance improvement, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis of production issues. - Hands-on experience with GitHub Copilot and a deep understanding of its capabilities and constraints. - Proven experience in leading development teams and driving technical initiatives - Hands-on and practical experience with prompt engineering for software development and agentic AI concepts and workflows. - Understanding of MCP with usage in respective use cases and tools - Proficient understanding of SDLC phases. Good to Have: - Experience with GitHub Enterprise, GitHub Actions, and GitHub Advanced Security - Understanding of Observability tool and how to use it in debugging production issues. - Creating custom extensions of VS Code related to GenAI capabilities. - Hands-on experience with cloud platforms like AWS/Azure - Certification in GenAI/Agentic AI/GitHub Copilot. - Understanding of GitHub Copilot telemetry usage data.
